Understanding the Unique Skin Care Needs of Seniors

Skin Care for Seniors

Collagen and Oil Reduction

As we age, our skin undergoes significant changes, making "skin care for seniors" a topic of paramount importance. The aging process typically results in thinner, less elastic skin that is more susceptible to damage and slower to heal.

This transformation is largely due to a decrease in collagen and elastin, two proteins essential for maintaining the skin's firmness and elasticity. Additionally, seniors may experience a reduction in natural oil production, leading to dryness and a heightened risk of irritation or infection. Understanding these changes is crucial in adapting skin care routines to effectively address the unique needs of senior skin.

Environmental Factors

Another key aspect of skin care for seniors is the increased sensitivity to environmental factors. As the skin's protective barrier weakens with age, it becomes more vulnerable to external elements like UV rays, harsh weather, and pollutants. This heightened sensitivity necessitates a more protective approach to skin care. Seniors should focus on gentle products that safeguard the skin against these environmental stressors while providing ample hydration and nourishment. It's also essential for older adults to recognize that their skin may react differently to products that were suitable in the past, underlining the need for regular assessment and adjustment of their skin care regimen.

The Effect of Poor Health

In addition to these physical changes, skin care for seniors should also take into account various health conditions that can affect the skin. Common issues like diabetes or circulatory problems can have a significant impact on skin health, necessitating tailored care. It's important for seniors and their caregivers to work closely with healthcare professionals to understand how these health conditions might influence skin care choices. This holistic approach ensures not only the maintenance of healthy skin but also the overall well-being of seniors. By addressing the specific challenges posed by aging skin, a well-crafted skin care routine can significantly enhance the quality of life for older adults.

Essential Daily Skin Care Tips for Aging Skin

Choose a Mild, Hydrating Cleanser

As we age, our skin undergoes significant changes, making a tailored approach to skin care crucial. For seniors, establishing a daily skin care routine that addresses these changes is vital for maintaining skin health and appearance. This begins with gentle cleansing, which is key in preserving the delicate balance of the skin.

Aging skin tends to be drier and more sensitive, so choosing mild, hydrating cleansers over harsh, drying ones is important. It's also beneficial to use lukewarm water instead of hot, as extreme temperatures can strip away natural oils, leading to further dryness.

Moisturizing Senior Skin Care

Moisturizing is another cornerstone of daily skin care for seniors. With age, the skin's natural oil production decreases, leaving it more susceptible to dryness and irritation. A high-quality, age-appropriate moisturizer can provide the necessary hydration to keep the skin supple and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Look for products that contain hyaluronic acid, glycerin, or ceramides, which are effective in trapping moisture. Applying moisturizer to slightly damp skin right after cleansing can also enhance absorption and effectiveness.

Broad-Spectrum Sunscreen for Seniors Skin Care

Sun protection remains a crucial part of any skin care routine, especially for seniors. The cumulative effect of sun exposure over the years can lead to increased risk of skin damage and skin cancers. Daily use of a broad-spectrum sunscreen with at least SPF 30 is essential, regardless of the weather or season. Additionally, wearing protective clothing, hats, and sunglasses can provide further protection against harmful UV rays. By incorporating these simple yet effective steps into their daily routine, seniors can significantly improve the health and appearance of their skin, safeguarding it against common age-related issues.

The Role of Nutrition and Hydration in Senior Skin Health

Fruits and Vegetables

Nutrition plays a pivotal role in skin health at all stages of life, but it becomes even more critical for seniors. The right nutrients can help combat the effects of aging on the skin. Antioxidant-rich foods, like fruits and vegetables, are particularly beneficial as they combat free radicals, which can cause premature aging.

Essential fatty acids found in fish, nuts, and seeds are crucial for maintaining the skin's natural oil barrier, which is vital in keeping the skin hydrated and plump. Vitamins such as C, E, and A are also important; they contribute to collagen production and skin cell regeneration, aiding in maintaining the skin's elasticity and overall youthful appearance.

Drink Plenty of Water

Hydration is another key component of skin care for seniors. As we age, our body's ability to retain moisture decreases, which can lead to drier, more fragile skin. Drinking ample water throughout the day is essential for maintaining skin hydration. It helps flush out toxins, keeps the skin cells plump, and can even improve its overall texture and appearance. Seniors should aim for at least 8 glasses of water per day, and this can be supplemented with other hydrating fluids and water-rich foods, like cucumbers, tomatoes, and watermelon, to help meet their hydration needs.

A Little Help from Supplements

In addition to a balanced diet and adequate hydration, seniors should also consider the potential skin benefits of specific supplements. Omega-3 supplements, for example, can enhance the skin's lipid barrier, essential in retaining moisture and protecting against environmental stressors. Similarly, collagen supplements may help in maintaining skin elasticity and reducing the appearance of wrinkles. However, it's crucial for seniors to consult with healthcare professionals before starting any new supplement regimen to ensure it aligns with their overall health needs and existing medical treatments.

Navigating Skin Care Products and Treatments for Older Adults

Stimulate Collagen Production

When it comes to choosing skin care products for seniors, it's essential to understand that what worked in younger years might not be as effective as one ages. The skin of older adults tends to be thinner, more delicate, and prone to dryness, so products formulated for mature skin are usually the best choice.

Look for creams and serums that are rich in ingredients like retinoids, which help in cell regeneration and can reduce the appearance of age spots and wrinkles. Peptides are another key ingredient, known for their ability to stimulate collagen production, thereby improving skin elasticity and firmness. It's also advisable for seniors to avoid products with harsh chemicals or fragrances, as these can irritate sensitive skin.

Remember to pick up your free collagen book from Collagen: Nature's Anti-Aging Miracle.

For More Immediate Results

In-office treatments can be another aspect of skin care for seniors, offering more targeted and often more immediate results. Treatments such as laser therapy, microdermabrasion, or chemical peels, performed by qualified professionals, can address issues like age spots, deep wrinkles, and uneven skin tone. However, it's important for older adults to have a thorough consultation with a dermatologist before undergoing any of these procedures. The dermatologist can provide advice on the most suitable treatments considering the individual's skin type, health history, and specific skin concerns.

Lifestyle Factors

It's vital for seniors to adopt a holistic approach to skin care. This means not only focusing on external treatments but also understanding the impact of lifestyle factors. Habits like smoking and excessive alcohol consumption can significantly accelerate skin aging, while a well-balanced diet, regular exercise, and adequate sleep can have a profoundly positive effect on skin care for seniors. Additionally, managing stress through activities like yoga, meditation, or simple relaxation techniques can also contribute to healthier, more vibrant skin. By combining the right products, treatments, and lifestyle choices, seniors can maintain radiant and healthy skin well into their later years.

What Does Collagen Do for You?

What Does Collagen Do for You?

Introduction to Collagen: Understanding Its Role in the Body

Your Body's Building Blocks

Collagen is often hailed as the human body's major building block, playing a critical role in maintaining the structure and integrity of our skin, bones, muscles, tendons, and ligaments. As the most abundant protein in the human body, collagen provides strength and elasticity to tissues, helping them to withstand stretching and flexing.

Beyond its structural functions, collagen also plays a pivotal role in the replacement and restoration of dead skin cells, and its presence in the extracellular matrix is vital for tissue repair and regeneration. The body naturally produces collagen, but as we age, this production gradually decreases, leading to common signs of aging such as wrinkles, weakened joints, and decreased muscle mass. This makes understanding collagen's role not just a matter of beauty, but of health and longevity as well.

The Benefits of Collagen Supplements

The fascination with collagen has transcended the realms of health and beauty, sparking a surge in the popularity of collagen supplements and collagen-rich foods. This increased interest is not unfounded; scientific studies have shown that supplementing with collagen can have tangible benefits, including improved skin elasticity, reduced joint pain, and even enhanced gut health. However, the body's process of breaking down dietary collagen into amino acids and then reassembling them into the specific forms of collagen needed is complex. This highlights the importance of a holistic approach to boosting collagen levels, incorporating a balanced diet, adequate vitamin C intake to aid collagen synthesis, and lifestyle factors that protect existing collagen stores, such as avoiding excessive sun exposure and smoking.

Collagen and Skin Health: Beyond Aesthetic Benefits

Reduce Wrinkles

Collagen's role in skin health is multifaceted, extending far beyond its ability to reduce wrinkles and maintain a youthful appearance. It is essential for the skin's elasticity, hydration, and overall integrity, acting as a vital component that helps the skin bounce back from the stresses of stretching and contracting.

As collagen levels naturally decline with age, the skin loses its firmness and begins to sag, leading to the formation of fine lines and wrinkles. This process is exacerbated by environmental factors such as UV exposure, pollution, and lifestyle choices, including smoking and poor diet, which can accelerate collagen breakdown. Consequently, the maintenance of adequate collagen levels is crucial not only for aesthetic reasons but also for the skin’s health and its ability to repair and rejuvenate itself.

Collagen-Based Skincare

The burgeoning market for collagen-based skincare and supplements indicates the widespread recognition of its importance for skin vitality. Studies have demonstrated that supplementing with hydrolyzed collagen can significantly improve skin hydration and elasticity, thereby diminishing signs of aging. These supplements are thought to stimulate the body's own collagen production processes, encouraging the skin to repair itself more efficiently. Additionally, topical collagen treatments and creams aim to provide the skin with the amino acids necessary for collagen synthesis directly at the surface. While the efficacy of topical applications varies, the overall consensus supports the role of collagen in enhancing skin barrier functions, promoting wound healing, and safeguarding the skin against environmental aggressors. This holistic approach to skin health emphasizes not only the aesthetic benefits of collagen but also its essential contribution to maintaining the skin's structural integrity and resilience.

Collagen's Impact on Joint and Bone Health

Collagen Is a Crucial Lubricant

The significance of collagen in maintaining joint and bone health cannot be overstated, serving as a key element that contributes to the resilience and functionality of these vital structures. In the context of joint health, collagen acts as a crucial lubricant, aiding in the smooth movement of joints and reducing the friction that can lead to discomfort and degeneration.

This is particularly relevant for individuals suffering from osteoarthritis, where the natural wear and tear of joint cartilage is exacerbated by a decrease in collagen levels. Studies have demonstrated that collagen supplementation can significantly alleviate joint pain and improve symptoms of arthritis, suggesting its potential as a therapeutic option for enhancing joint health and mobility.

Collagen Improves Bone Density

Similarly, collagen's role in bone health is foundational, with its fibrous structure providing the framework upon which minerals are deposited, thereby imparting strength and density to bones. As we age, the decline in collagen production can lead to a decrease in bone density, increasing the risk of osteoporosis and fractures. Supplementing with collagen has been shown to have positive effects on bone metabolism, potentially slowing the aging process of bones by promoting the synthesis of new bone tissue and reducing the rate of bone degradation. This highlights the importance of collagen not only in maintaining the physical integrity of bones and joints but also in supporting their function and longevity, underscoring the potential benefits of collagen supplementation as part of a strategy to preserve bone health and enhance joint function.

Collagen: Digestive Health and Immune Function

Collagen Improves Gut Health

The beneficial effects of collagen extend beyond the realms of skin elasticity and joint mobility, diving deep into the core of digestive health and immune function. Within the digestive tract, collagen plays a critical role by supporting the repair and maintenance of the stomach and intestinal lining. This is crucial for preventing the permeability of the gut wall, a condition often referred to as "leaky gut," which can allow undigested food particles and toxins to enter the bloodstream, potentially leading to inflammation and immune responses.

Collagen contains amino acids like glycine, proline, and glutamine that are essential for the regeneration of gut lining cells, thereby promoting a healthy digestive system. This regenerative capability not only aids in maintaining the integrity of the gut barrier but also supports the overall immune function by preventing the leakage of potentially harmful substances that can trigger immune responses.

Collagen Bolsters Your Immune System

Collagen's influence on immune health is intricately linked to its role in the gut, considering that a significant portion of the immune system is housed within the digestive tract. The gut microbiome, a complex community of microorganisms residing in the intestines, plays a pivotal role in the development and function of the immune system. By fostering a healthy gut lining, collagen helps to ensure an optimal environment for these beneficial microbes to thrive, which in turn supports a balanced immune response. The amino acids in collagen also serve as building blocks for the production of antibodies and other immune cells, further underscoring the protein's importance in immune health. Thus, collagen's contributions to digestive health and immune function are interrelated, with its ability to maintain the integrity of the gut barrier and support a healthy microbiome being central to its immune-boosting effects.

Incorporating Collagen into Your Diet: Sources and Recommendations

Eat Foods That Help Collagen Production

Incorporate collagen into your diet. It's an effective move towards harnessing collagen's many health benefits, from enhancing skin elasticity to bolstering joint and bone health. Collagen can be found in various natural food sources, including bone broth, made by simmering bones and connective tissue, which releases collagen into the broth.

Other rich sources include animal products such as beef, chicken, fish, and egg whites, which contain large amounts of this vital protein. For those looking to supplement their collagen intake, hydrolyzed collagen supplements, available in powder or capsule form, offer a convenient option. These supplements are made by breaking down collagen into smaller peptides, making it easier for the body to absorb. Incorporating these foods and supplements into your diet can help counteract the natural decline in collagen production that occurs with age, supporting overall health and wellness.

Lifestyle Choices Can Boost Collagen Production

Beyond dietary sources, certain lifestyle choices and nutritional strategies can further enhance collagen production and preservation in the body. Vitamin C plays a crucial role in collagen synthesis, acting as a co-factor in the enzymatic processes that stabilize and cross-link collagen molecules. Therefore, ensuring an adequate intake of vitamin C-rich foods like citrus fruits, bell peppers, strawberries, and broccoli is essential. Additionally, avoiding excessive sun exposure and refraining from smoking can protect collagen fibers from damage, as UV radiation and tobacco smoke are known to degrade collagen, leading to premature aging. By combining a collagen-rich diet with healthy lifestyle practices, individuals can maximize the potential health benefits of collagen, promoting not only skin, joint, and bone health but also supporting overall vitality and well-being.

Collagen: A Protein with Many Benefits

Skin, Bones, Tendons and Muscles

Collagen is a protein that can be found throughout the body, particularly in the skin, bones, tendons, and muscles. It plays a crucial role in maintaining the structure and integrity of our tissues. Collagen supplements have gained popularity in recent years due to their potential health benefits. In this article, we will discuss the benefits of collagen and why it is essential for good health.

Improves Skin Health

Collagen is a key component of the skin, providing structure and elasticity. As we age, our bodies produce less collagen, leading to a loss of skin elasticity and the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Collagen supplements have been shown to improve skin hydration, elasticity, and firmness, reducing the signs of aging and promoting a more youthful appearance.

Several studies have found that collagen supplements can reduce joint pain and improve joint function in people with osteoarthritis.

Strengthens Bones

Collagen is a vital component of bone tissue, providing the structure and support needed for healthy bones. Collagen supplements have been shown to improve bone density and reduce the risk of fractures in postmenopausal women. A study found that women who took a collagen supplement for 12 months had a significant increase in bone mineral density compared to those who did not take the supplement.

Boosts Muscle Mass

Collagen is an essential component of muscle tissue, providing the support and structure needed for healthy muscles. Collagen supplements have been shown to improve muscle mass and strength in elderly people, reducing the risk of falls and fractures. A study found that elderly men who took a collagen supplement for 12 weeks had a significant increase in muscle mass compared to those who did not take the supplement.

Improves Gut Health

Collagen is a significant component of the gut lining, helping to maintain its structure and integrity. A healthy gut lining is essential for good digestive health, as it prevents harmful bacteria and toxins from entering the bloodstream. Collagen supplements have been shown to improve gut health by reducing inflammation and promoting the growth of beneficial gut bacteria.

Supports Cardiovascular Health

Collagen is an important component of the blood vessels, helping to maintain their structure and elasticity. Collagen supplements have been shown to improve cardiovascular health by reducing blood pressure and increasing blood flow. A study found that women who took a collagen supplement for 6 months had a significant decrease in blood pressure compared to those who did not take the supplement.

Collagen is a crucial protein that plays a critical role in maintaining the health and integrity of our body tissues. Collagen supplements have many potential health benefits, from improving skin tone and appearance to supporting cardiovascular health.

Super Collagen Cream

Super Collagen Cream

Helps Prevent Wrinkles

Glue That Holds Your Body Together

Collagen is the most abundant protein in your body, comprising more than one third of your total protein composition. It has been described as the glue that holds your body together, so you can imagine how important it is to your body's well-being. In fact, the word "collagen" is derived from a Greek word meaning "glue".

Collagen is a nutritional supplement that helps your blood to clot (very important if you suffer a wound) and provides the structure to your skin that prevents the most visible signs of aging, including wrinkles.

Collagen production falls off dramatically as you age in terms of both quantity and quality.

You can overcome this with both collagen supplements that you take and collagen cream that you apply.

A super collagen cream and supplement can help you rebuild:

  • Skin
  • Bone
  • Muscle
  • Ligaments
  • Tendons
  • Teeth
  • Corneas
  • Blood Vessels.

Choose the Right Super Collagen Cream and Supplements

There are over 16 types of collagen, with each having different properties and being responsible for different body structures. This is why it's so important to choose a super collagen cream and supplements that contain the right types of collagen and in the ideal proportions. There are 4 main types:

Type I Collagen comprises densely packed fibers and provides structure for skin, bones, fibrous cartilage, teeth, tendons and other connective tissue. Some 90% of your body's cartilage is made up of Type I.

Type II Collagen is made up of more loosely packed fibers and is responsible for maintaining elastic cartilage. Elastic cartilage is responsible for cushioning joints, such as hip, knee and shoulder. It's the loss of this cartilage that is the primary cause of osteoarthritis.

Type III Collagen supports the structure of arteries, muscles and internal organs such as heart and lungs.

Type IV Collagen is found in the layers making up your skin (did you know that your skin is your largest organ?)

Collagen Production Requires Nutrients

The right nutrients are essential to the production of high-quality collagen and this becomes even more important as you age, when both the quantity and quality of your collagen production falls away. Older people may notice two things in particular that result from this drop off in collagen production:

  • Skin becomes less firm and supple. resulting in wrinkled and crepe looking skin
  • Cartilage weakens and wears away, resulting in joint stiffness and pain.

This can be prevented or at least minimized by taking a high-quality collagen supplement or from eating the right foods. Some of the nutrients required are:

  • Vitamin C. Some good sources of Vitamin C are...
    • Citrus fruit, such as oranges, lemons, grapefruit, lines and mandarins
    • Bell peppers
    • Strawberries
  • Proline. Sources include...
    • Egg Whites
    • Wheat Germ
    • Mushrooms
    • Asparagus
    • Cabbage
    • Dairy
  • Glycine. You can get this nutrient from...
    • Chicken Skin
    • Pork Skin
    • Gelatin
  • Copper. An essential mineral found in...
    • Cocoa Powder
    • Sesame Seeds
    • Cashew Nuts
    • Lentils
    • Organ Meats such as Liver and Hearts

For collagen renewal, you need quality protein in your diet. This can come from grass-fed red meat, seafood, dairy, legumes such as peas and beans, tofu and the white meats pork and poultry.

OR you can just take a supplement that will give you all the essential nutrients in one capsule. Would you like to try the best collagen supplements for FREE, in conjunction with the best super collagen cream? Just click HERE.

Things That Can Destroy Collagen

SMOKING

You don't need us to tell you that if you smoke, you are killing yourself.

Yes, it's as stark as that! You need to get help and do whatever it takes to quit.

And besides that, smoking is the single most effective way to appear older.

One of the reasons for this is that smoking inhibits collagen production, encouraging the formation of wrinkles and the dreaded "mouth like a cat's ass".

It also causes wounds to take longer to heal.

UV RAYS

While getting sunlight directly on your skin is the most effective way of getting your Vitamin D, an excess of Ultra-Violet (UV) rays can reduce the production of collagen, as well as burn the skin itself. So avoid excessive sun exposure.

SUGAR AND REFINED CARBS

Both sugar and refined carbs are bad for your health generally but as well they interfere with the ability of your body's collagen to repair itself. This is one of the reasons people on a Keto diet are frequently observed to have improved the look and texture of their skin. The Keto diet eliminates sugar and refined carbs and minimizes carbs generally.

Collagen From Natural Food Sources

Although it's (much) more convenient, especially as you get older, to take your collagen in supplement form, it's useful to know which everyday foods will also assist with the renewal of this vital protein.

In fact, diet plays a major role in the youthful appearance of your skin, and this is all because of collagen.

Bone broth (made from boiling chicken and beef bones along with apple cider vinegar) is a rich and bioavailable source of collagen. But there are many others as well. Some have been alluded to under Nutrients above, but here is a more complete list.

Bone Broth. Broken down from connective tissue, it contains phosphorous, collagen, calcium, glucosamine, chondroitin, magnesium, amino acids and other things your body needs. And it's dead easy to prepare.

Chicken. You only have to cut up a chicken to realize how much connective tissue there is. Chicken skin, in particular is a rich source of collagen. Unfortunately, back in the day when fat was thought to make you fat (it doesn't; that effect belongs to sugar and overly processed fast food) chicken skin was removed from most diets.

Pork Crackling. As well as being delicious, pork skin like chicken skin is a great source of collagen.

Gelatin. Gelatin is essentially collagen that has been cooked. This makes it high in the amino acids that form the essential building blocks for collagen.

Oily Fish, White Fish and Shellfish. Yes, virtually all seafood is a powerful source of collagen, as well as being a brain food and incredibly healthy for you. Marine collagen has been claimed to be more readily absorbed than collagen from other sources.

Egg Whites. Clearly, egg whites don't have any connective tissue. What they do have is the amino acid proline, essential for collagen production.

Garlic. There's an old saying that the correct amount of garlic is double what the recipe calls for :-). This is undoubtedly because of its flavor, but in fact it's high in sulfur, a trace mineral that helps synthesize collagen and prevent its breakdown as you age.

Fruit. Citrus fruits (for Vitamin C), berries (Vitamin C and anti-oxidants), tropical fruits like paw-paw, pineapple and guava (Vitamin C and zinc).

Collagen From Supplements

The surest and most convenient way of ensuring that your body gets the collagen it needs is to take a proven supplement.

Unfortunately, the typical supplement available from your local pharmacy just doesn't cut it. The big pharma companies know that "collagen" is a buzz-word and they also know that most people don't know one type of collagen from another and don't read the fine print on the label. They can maximize their profits by using cheap ingredients and including the words "collagen supplement" in large bold print on the label.

We recommend two collagen supplements that we know work. Because we've tried them ourselves and they are produced by one of our favorite ethical companies.

But you don't have to take our word for it.

We are giving them both away for free when you try Kollagen Intensiv, a super collagen cream that works on the outside of your skin while the two supplements work to increase your body's natural supply from the inside.

Ageless Collagen Review

We have partnered with BioTRUST Nutrition to make these products available to you.

Why Do You Need Collagen?

Collagen is a protein that your body makes naturally, but unfortunately less and less of it as you get older.

It's been described as "the glue that holds your body together".

And is responsible for the look and flexibility of all your connective tissue, including skin and cartilage. Without it, skin cracks and joints lose flexibility.

So pretty important, right?

Actually, VITAL.

COLLAGEN

  • Makes skin healthy and supple and gives it that youthful look
  • Makes hair healthy and young-looking
  • Supports joint flexibility
  • Strengthens nails, teeth, and gums
  • Promotes strong, healthy muscles, tendons, and ligaments
  • Promotes stronger bones
  • Supports digestive health
  • Promotes healthy appetite management.

Check out the following graph to see how collagen production falls away as you get older:

Fortunately, research shows you can increase your body's collagen levels again by consuming more collagen in your diet!

That's true regardless of age, and that means – in terms of skin, hair, nails, joints, and more – you really can renew and revitalize the way you look and feel and once again enjoy the benefits of healthy collagen levels. HOWEVER – and this is crucial – this is only valid IF you consume the right types of collagen.

You can't get enough from your regular diet. You need a supplement. And that's where BioTRUST Ageless Multi-Collagen comes in.

So what are "the right types" of collagen you should consume, and where do they come from?

Out of the 28 different types, five types of collagen in particular are important for healthy, youthful-looking skin and hair, flexible joints, healthy metabolism, and all the other benefits mentioned above – types I, II, III, V, and X.

Now, just like in humans, collagen is located in the skin, bones, cartilage, and other connective tissue of animals, such as fish, chickens, and cattle.

And to get the five types you need – through food – would require you eating a lot of these various "parts" from a range of different sources. That's because no single source provides you all the different collagen types.

Our ancestors were pretty good at this because they ate "nose to tail" and let nothing go to waste. For example, they routinely ate a lot of skin and organ meat, and they extracted collagen and other nutrients from a range of different animals' bones and cartilage by cooking them for long periods.

Most people today, however, eat very little skin, bones, and cartilage – let alone from a range of different animals. We mostly throw those parts away.

The GREAT News: You Finally Can Get the 5 Types of Collagen You Need in One Complete Protein.

Many health experts consider collagen the closest thing on earth to a real "fountain of youth."

But you also know that the "devil is in the details" because it can be extremely difficult to get enough of the right types and proportions of collagen in your body to actually gain all the amazing benefits.

What's more, most collagen powders don't dissolve well in cool or room temperature liquids, leaving a coagulated, clumpy mess that's unpleasant to drink.

That is, until now.

I personally take a scoop of BioTRUST Ageless Multi-Collagen with my morning coffee. I can verify that it dissolves easily and leaves my coffee tasting like... coffee.

And it makes me feel great.

  • Healthy eyes
  • A healthy heart
  • A powerful immune system

If you have memory problems, it could be due to inflammation. Inflammation can give you brain fog and cloudy thinking. It can disrupt your attention and make it harder for you to focus on a task. And it can cause you to suddenly forget names or words you know well.

The good news is that an anti-oxidant called luteolin can block inflammation and stop brain aging in its tracks.

Not long ago, Dr. Rita Levi-Montalcini celebrated her 103rd birthday. During the festivities, she made a speech. And in that speech, she said: “my mental capacity is greater today than when I was 20.”

Dr. Levi-Montalcini won the Nobel Prize for discovering a protein called nerve growth factor (NGF). Since her discovery, hundreds of studies have been done on NGF. These studies show that NGF has a whole host of benefits:

  • It reverses age-related memory loss and cognitive decline.
  • It helps with the survival and maintenance of brain cells.
  • It protects and repairs damaged brain cells.
  • And it prevents your brain from shrinking as you get older.

Advanced Memory Formula gives you the right amount of luteolin to boost your NGF levels… keep your brain from shrinking… and protect your brain from inflammation.

You can improve your eyesight in just 2 weeks...

By taking 3 nutrients you won't find in most eye supplements.

Do you find yourself standing at the front door in the evening, car keys in hand, watching the street lights and others car's headlights reflect off the wet road and wondering "is it safe for me to drive to the store?"

Does your partner (or even more humiliating, your kids) ever say to you "are you sure you're OK to drive?"

And what about getting your license renewed? Are you one of those people who try to memorize the eye chart ahead of your test?

For most people who've had normal vision all their life, deterioration starts in their 40's and 50's. They start having trouble reading bottle labels (especially those on prescription and non-prescription medicines. Then they have a hard time reading books and restaurant menus.

Almost overnight, they can't see anything they pick up well enough to read it. They become convinced that there's an agreement within the graphic design industry to make all the fonts as small as possible.

As for threading a needle, forget it.

Then for your next birthday, some thoughtful person gives you a magnifying glass as a present. With a built-in light!

Unfortunately, we are led to believe that  this kind of vision decline is a normal part of aging.

It doesn't have to be.

Click on Advanced Vision Formula to discover the protocol that uses these 3 nutrients to restore your declining vision.

One thing that Covid-19 has done is make us all very aware of our immune system and its importance in keeping us healthy.

The Resistol immune-boosting formula has a unique herbal combination that includes 5 immune-boosting nutrients that have been used in Chinese and Ayurvedic Medicine for over 2,000 years. They include Andrographis, Eleuthero, Platycodon, Prickly Chaff Flower, and Chinese licorice. This formula has proven to be effective in ramping up your immune system and if you get sick, helping you return to your healthy self in just 3 to 5 days.

Resistol means that you can build up a strong immune system that works for you 24/7, 365 days a year! These amazing nutrients are used regularly in Asia and parts of Europe but are almost unknown in the U.S. and other Western nations.

And if you do catch something, this is one of the best ways to nip it in the bud fast. Reason: It helps your body flush the invaders out of your system before unpleasant symptoms take you down. Many users say they feel better within the first 24 hours.

They cough less … they’re less congested … their sore throat feels better … and their fever is reduced. In fact, most of them feel back to their healthy selves in as little as 3-5 days. That’s much faster than the time it usually takes most people to get over their symptoms. So this works fast! But many people don’t want to take their chances. So they use this year-round. And it works!

The first immunity booster in Resistol is Andrographis. It's one of the most used ingredients in traditional Chinese and Ayurvedic medicine … especially for lung and respiratory issues. Doctors also use it to treat runny noses, congestion, and to reduce aches, pains and fever.

Andrographis keeps your immune system in balance because it gives you 2 powerful lines of defense. It increases the amount of your white blood cells and gives your immune system a significant boost. That means your body has a better chance of fighting things that could attack your cells. And if something does get into your cells, your symptoms won’t be nearly as bad because andrographis also has an amazing ability to calm inflammation. In fact, research shows that it switches off over 500 inflammation-causing chemicals in your body!

There are few things more embarrassing and inconvenient than poor bladder control, aka "pee leakage".

From being forced to turn down invitations or get up from the table every few minutes to being frightened to cough, exercise or even laugh, incontinence can be a living hell.

And if it happens during sex...

Although seen as largely a female problem, studies show that a large number of men are affected as well.

Childbirth, health issues, and lifestyle factors can all cause damage to the nerves in the bladder and weaken the pelvic floor. There are two types of urinary incontinence: stress incontinence where activities that cause pressure inside the abdomen trigger urine leaks; and urge incontinence where the brain and spine aren’t working together properly so the bladder empties itself without warning.

Both are soul-destroying.

But here's some good news. Confitrol 24 (and as you'd expect, the 24 in the name means that it supports you 24 hours a day) is here.

The Secret is a Synergistic Blend of Herbal Ingredients that Support Bladder Tone and Healthy Urinary Tract Function!

Experts have long known the benefits of herbal supplements for better health. Now you can take more control of urinary incontinence (UI), overactive bladder (OAB), and other symptoms.

A natural supplement with a patented blend of ingredients can help:

  • Reduce Embarrassing Leakage
  • Decrease Sudden Urgency
  • Enhance Bladder Tone
  • Support Urinary Tract Health
  • Promote Anti-Aging Effects for the Bladder

Kollagen Intensiv Review

Kollagen Intensiv

Kollagen Intensiv is my absolute favorite anti-aging face cream.

It has a lovely consistency and a pleasant, floral scent.

But most importantly it's incredibly effective.

Just not immediately.

Have you ever noticed how, for some of the best things in life, you have to wait? Think of the book whose story stays with you for life, but you had to wade through the first 100 pages while the characters, their background and intersecting storylines were established. Think of your best friend who took ages to warm to you and you to her. Think... well you get the idea.

It's the same with Kollagen Intensiv.

Initially, I bought one jar and applied it every day. It felt great and I loved the scent.

But I couldn't see that it was making any difference to my skin...

Until I could!

But at that stage, I'd used most of the jar.

However, I could see a definite reduction in wrinkles, with the result that I looked younger.

This was something I wanted to continue, so I decided to plunge right in and ordered the six-pack.

That was when I discovered that you got an extra 2 jars with the 6-pack, making it an 8-pack with a net cost of only $36 a jar. For an 8 month supply (which actually turned out to be closer to a year) of a wonderfully effective product, I thought it was a bargain.

Kollagen Intensiv Review Chart

My business partner Phil is a lot more analytical than me. He says it's all very well to rave about the product but to create a proper review, I need to list 5 product features, provide some verifiable information about them and give each one a star rating. So here goes (but first, some pretty skin pictures).

Feature

Star Rating

Ingredients. The primary active ingredient inside Kollagen Intensiv is Syn®-Coll. A double blind clinical study of this ingredient and a placebo showed that Syn®-Coll reduced wrinkles and deep lines by about 354% in comparison to the placebo. Other Kollagen Intensiv ingredients to nourish and soften the skin include Shea Butter, Acetyl Hexapeptide-3 (known as the natural botox alternative) Hyaluronic Acid, Retinol, Vitamin C and other organic extracts, including green tea and cucumber.

Texture. Kollagen Intensiv is not a serum, so not so much a liquid that you rub into your skin but a creamy texture that feels wonderful as you apply it. I love the feel of it going on and how it makes my skin glow.

Side Effects. It's true that many skin treatments have unpleasant side effects, such as skin rash, itchy skin and discoloration. I'm pleased to report that I've had absolutely zero side effects from using Kollagen Intensiv and my research indicates that most users report a similar experience.

Value. I've given this a 5 star rating because I buy my Kollagen Intensiv in the 6-pack. This costs $289.95 but you actually get 8 jars, meaning that the unit cost comes down to around $36, which is excellent value. Also, a jar lasts me around 6 weeks, so 8 jars for me is almost a year's supply!

Effectiveness. Phil says that the correct word is efficacy, but he can be a pedantic pain in the ass sometimes. All I know is that it works big-time!

Kollagen Intensiv Downside

If there's one downside to Kollagen Intensiv, it's how long it takes to be really effective.

Like I said earlier, I was almost at the end of my first jar before I started to notice any real improvement. If it had been just a few days later, I might not have persevered.

And I discovered later that the product's manufacturers say that it takes 84 days (let's round that up to 3 months, hey) to be fully effective.

Now in the overall scheme of things, that's actually not very long.

But when you're just starting out and looking for fast improvement, it can seem like forever stretching out in front of you.

So here's what we've done...

Kollagen Intensiv + Ageless Multi-Collagen + Joint 33X

PRISCILLA ONO

Make Up Artist
To The Stars

They don’t call Priscilla Ono “Make Up Artist To The Stars’ without very good reason. One of the youngest cosmetic rock stars ever to key a main tent show for New York fashion week, she’s worked with Paris Hilton and Carmen Electra. You may have seen her mark in Glamour magazine and music videos with Rihanna too, so we were thrilled when she said “I recommend Kollagen Intensiv® to all my clients.”

What can we say about America’s Next Top Model winner and fan favourite Lisa D’Amato other than ‘she’s awesome’? A (very!) busy supermodel and budding recording artist, Lisa’s worked with Skinception since 2013 and since won clients over with her plucky attitude. According to Lisa, “Kollagen Intensiv® helps me look my best in front of the camera and off of it too.” We think she’s a keeper.

Cindy spent over a year looking for a product that worked. She spoke with other women about their skin care habits until she read a beauty column by Priscilla Ono, AKA ‘the make up artist to the stars’. Having worked with clients like Paris Hilton and Carmen Electra, she knows her stuff. So Cindy paid attention when Priscilla mentioned that a new wrinkle cream called Kollagen Intensiv® combined retinol with Syn-coll.

The three collagen products will work as a team on both the inside and the outside to give you younger looking skin.

But first, why collagen?

What is Collagen?

Collagen is the most abundant protein in your body, making up from 25% to 35% of the whole-body protein content. It consists of amino acids bound together to form a triple helix of elongated fibril known as a collagen helix. It is mostly found in connective tissue such as cartilage, bones, tendons, ligaments, and skin.

In fact, it is the main component of connective tissue and so is vitally important to how well your joints work and how good your skin looks and feels. Collagen is the protein that gives skin its structure, suppleness, and stretch.

As we age, we produce less collagen in our skin every year. This is why older people are more inclined to exhibit wrinkles and thinning skin. The good news is that this can be prevented and even reversed by focusing on collagen production.

What you eat affects the quality and quantity of collagen in your body. Here are some foods that you should incorporate into your diet (subject to allergies, of course):

  • Chicken. Many collagen supplements are derived from chicken, which contains ample amounts of collagen. Poultry has a lot of connective tissue, which make it a rich source of dietary collagen.
  • Fish and Shellfish. Marine collagen is one of the most easily absorbed but in the Western world, we don’t tend to consume the parts of fish that are highest in collagen, like the head, scales and eyeballs,
  • Egg Whites (Although eggs don’t contain connective tissues like many other animal products, egg whites do have large amounts of proline, one of the amino acids necessary for collagen production).
  • Citrus Fruits (Oranges, grapefruit, lemons, and limes are full of vitamin C, which plays a major role in the production of pro-collagen, the body’s precursor to collagen itself).
  • Berries are another excellent source of vitamin C. Ounce for ounce, strawberries provide more vitamin C than oranges. Raspberries, blueberries, and blackberries also contain this vital component, as well as being high in antioxidants, which protect the skin from damage.
  • Cashews. These filling nuts contain zinc and copper, both of which boost the body’s ability to create collagen.

However, most people don't get enough of a collagen boost from their regular diet alone.

That's where collagen supplements come in.

BioTRUST Ageless Multi-Collagen (FREE Offer)

I'm a huge fan of BioTRUST products.

For 3 really good reasons:

  1. They just work.
  2. They contain all natural ingredients.
  3. As an ethical company, BioTRUST does not use animal testing of any kind.

So I was really surprised to receive an email from them recently that was headed "Avoid Collagen".

Especially as Ageless Multi-Collagen is one of their best-selling products.

In fact, I take a scoopful every day with my morning coffee.

But the email went on to say...

First, as you likely already know, many health experts and the media are both head over heels when it comes to the anti-aging benefits of collagen -- especially in terms of helping your skin, hair, joints, and gut health.

And it's really no surprise collagen is so key to anti-aging, because collagen actually makes up 75% of your skin...

It also makes up 70% to 80% of your ligaments, tendons, and joints...

And it even makes up 90% of your bones, nails and hair!

However, did you know...

By the time people hit "middle age," their bodies could be producing less than half the collagen they did in their youth?

Because of this, folks are turning to collagen supplements to support their collagen, but here’s where things get even more concerning...

The email then warned that unscrupulous companies are taking advantage of the "collagen craze" and stocking pharmacies with products labeled Collagen which are not the complete protein sources that they need to be effective and are often created from a single source. They also clump when mixed with a liquid, making them difficult to digest.

BioTrust Ageless Multi-Collagen™ is a BioTRUST bestseller for good reason.

It contains 5 KEY types of collagen for your body… it is a complete protein… and it is tasteless and odorless so it mixes well and WITHOUT clumping.

Ageless Multi-Collagen contains all the essential amino acids (EAAs) you need -- including a naturally fermented form of tryptophan. This makes it a complete protein, so with 10 grams of protein per serving, you can feel good that you're contributing to your healthy high-protein diet and helping your body look and feel its best.

BioTRUST Joint 33X (FREE Offer)

One of the sometimes overlooked jobs that collagen does is maintain the cartilage that helps to keep your joints operating smoothly.

Dr Jaime Hope is a a dual-board certified physician and ER doctor who has dedicated my life to saving other people's lives, and to helping them overcome suffering and enjoy life more. In her words...

"Do you know the #1 complaint I hear from patients in their 40s on up about what MOST ruins their quality of life and their happiness on a day-to-day basis?

Joint issues!

For example, a long-time patient of mine named Stephanie said that joint issues that started occurring in her mid-40s seemed to change her life overnight…

And NOT for the better.

You see, she used to jog daily. When the "creaky knees" started, though, it slowed her down, and then she soon quit her jogging altogether.

She gained major weight and suffered some serious emotional issues along with it because she no longer had a physical release for her pent-up emotional energy.

Another patient, Sean, told me that joint flare-ups made him feel like an old grandpa at age 56.

He went from crawling around on the floor with his granddaughter a couple years before to not being able to play with her at all and even struggling to get out of chairs."

And here's my own personal story.

At 77 years old in 2021, I had my right hip replaced 20 years ago when I was 57 and my left hip 5 years after that.

So yes, I know what arthritis feels like.

It's essentially when the cartilage wears off your joint, causing the synovial fluid to disappear and then you have bone grinding on bone. As the condition progresses, your flexibility disappears and joint pain becomes serious.

A few months ago, I noticed the old, familiar pain in my right shoulder joint.

Stretching and rotational exercises helped its flexibility but there was no doubt where it was headed. My belief is that if I'd had an x-ray, an orthopedic surgeon would have recommended a shoulder replacement.

Then I started taking a daily dose of Joint 33X.

The result has been nothing short of amazing. The pain has gone, flexibility is almost back to 100% and I'm close to bench pressing my own body weight again without being held back by shoulder issues.

So What's the Deal Again?

Kollagen Intensiv is available as a single jar for $59.95, a 3-jar pack for $154.95 ($51.65 a jar) or a 6-jar pack for $289.95 ($48.33 a jar).

Actually, you get an extra jar with the 3-pack and two extra jars with the 6-pack, making them even better value.

But whatever deal you choose, even if it's just the single pack, we will also send you BioTRUST Ageless Multi-Collagen and BioTRUST Joint 33X at no charge (not even delivery).

Really, Truly Free? How Come?

The answer is simple.

We are a great believer in BioTRUST products and we think that after you've tried these two, you will be too.

The company has a lot of products, all focusing on some aspect of health and wellness.

It will be our privilege to bring some of them to your attention by email and also to let you know about new products and special deals from time to time. You can, of course, opt out of receiving emails whenever you wish.
