If you are doing strength training at home, isolation training is important. Isolation training means that you are training just one specific muscle group and really focussing on that muscle during a particular exercise. An example of an isolation exercise is the bicep curl. This is a move that targets the biceps specifically and allows you to build muscle tears and metabolic stress in that region without it spilling out in other areas.
This can be contrasted with compound movements, such as the squat. The squat is not an isolation movement because it challenges too many muscle groups all at once. This works the quads, the calves, the hamstrings, the core and even the lower back to a degree. Put all this together and it is a ‘bigger’ exercise that challenges more muscles and one that is more akin to the way we move in the real world.
There’s much more leniency with the custom keto diet than with other diets whose complexity makes you fall by the wayside. You can eat fatty foods and especially protein rich meat and fish such as grass-fed beef steak, lamb chops, pork ribs, chicken, salmon and so on. You’re allowed a small amount of carbs, but you won't have strong cravings. Eggs, which are a real super food, can also be a big part of the keto diet, along with other fat-rich items such as avocado.
In fact, one of my favorite keto breakfasts is eggs scrambled in butter, then poured over half a fanned avocado sitting on top of 2 or 3 slices of smoked salmon.
Keto is unlike other restrictive diets, because your body is more sated on the custom keto diet plan so that you feel fuller and more comfortable.
That said, the most important rule of the keto diet is to achieve ketosis and maintain it. Ketosis is the state in which your body metabolizes (burns) stored fat for fuel instead of the sugar created from carbs. For your body to become fat adapted, it MUST be on ketosis for a prolonged period. Only when the body burns ketones for fuel rather than glucose, will you see accelerated fat loss.
The keto diet has become very well-known and popular for one good reason. Done properly, it works. There’s no denying the fact that unlike many other diets, the custom keto diet plan yields fast results without you having to eat foods you dislike.
