The answer, like the answer to many of life's problems is... it depends.
The causes of erectile dysfunction can be many and varied, sometimes psychological but in most cases physical.
And so in most cases an effective erectile dysfunction remedy will also be physical. That could be a home remedy or a pill that acts to address the problem directly.

The three most commonly prescribed erectile dysfunction remedies are the pharmaceutical pills sildenafil (Viagra), tadalafil (Cialis) and vardenafil (Levitra).
Do they work to fix ED? Well, yes, for some of the men for some of the time.
Do they have side effects or long-term problems? Definitely.
For instance, do not use any of these ED medications if you take nitrates, such as nitroglycerin or a similar medicine, for chest pain as the combination can cause dangerously low blood pressure.
If you take alpha-blockers for blood pressure or prostate problems, don't take Viagra or any of the other ED medications. These can lower your blood pressure when taken with ED pills.

If you go to the doctor to talk about the issue, you’re likely to get put on one or more of the popular medications used to treat the condition.
While they can be effective (temporarily), these medications come with a raft of side effects, some of which are decidedly unpleasant. Even worse, these medications aren’t really a cure, they’re more like a temporary workaround. And in fact, can make the problem worse in the long run.
